Here is a report from Mrs. Martha Vaughn and Mrs. Louisa Jackson during a hearing for them to receive relief from the Government after the war. They describe their experiences during March of 1863 with Gen. Pegram and his men.

The description of their experiences with the Confederates is during Pegram's Kentucky Raid. The First Tennessee Cavalry were under General Pegram during March of 63'.
This is interesting, because it describes what the civilians were experiencing during the war. Even though they were "Yankee Women", it is most likely what the Southern women were experiencing at the hands of the Federals.
