The 1st Tennessee Cavalry is reported near the Lee Courthouse on September, 11, 1863

On September 11, 1863 Colonel Carter was reported in command of the brigade near Lee Courthouse. The Lee Courthouse was located in Jonesville, Lee County, VA. The Lee County Courthouse was destroyed by fire on February 13, 1933.
